Yeah dude, like they said there is a lake in up state New York called Lake Placid and it's an oxymoron for what's going on in the movie so it all fits.

Its NOT from the lake in upstate new york. Placid means calm or quiet, therefore its an oxymoron



ps lake placid, the real lake in upstate new york... yeah it is there and it hosted the 1932 and 1980 winter olmypics and if you have ever seen the hockey movie "miracle," the real event took place in lake placid

because the lake was going to be called lake placid but i think some other lake was named that. so the lake was named something else... plus lake placid sounds better
