No, the two entities of Gemini arent necessarily considered opposites of each other or in conflict with one another; just a representation of the dvierse potential of gemini people to display a variety of moods, energies, positions, sides, etc while still being 'one' person, or 'one sign', thus their sign is a twin or double symbol
Just like a Libra with two sides of the scale is still one person who can place his/herself in either positions before deciding, geminis can assume many auras/charismas (I dont want to say personalities) depending on the situation and social environment....

Gemini's have long been called the "Jekyll and Hyde" of the zodiac. I suspect this has something to to with Gemini's being a normally happy person, until crossed, then they can be quite a handfull, just like Taurus, Leo, and Capricorn, to name a few. Bi-polar, no. Normal, yes.

no they are not bi-polar.however with any zodiac sign the planets have a big role in a person, and for the geminis being the sign of the twins they have twice as much going on in their head as any other sign would.try dealing with a double gemini!

compared to other signs, yes they are bi-polar. They have a "dark side" and a "light side"
but they're not literally bi-polar... only bi-polar metaphorically speaking...
