as a fellow christian, i have also wondered the same thing since childhood. did God name every animal in the Bible that is on earth today? no, so why should every animal that ever existed be mentioned in the Bible. that is a question I ask myself and hopefully it will help you. God had to put some mystery into Christianity, which provides for the faith aspect of the religion. I think that is why God does not leave all the answers to our questions with factual information.
much of the "Christian" theories about history are merely theories, and are not factual. the truth is, we don't know how long the days of creation were. they may have been hundreds of thousands of years. we just don't know. so, when ideas like this conflict with the ideas and so-called facts of the scientific community, it is important to remember that the Bible is not precise with time in the beginning. the Bible wasn't meant to be a factual, specific answer to everything.
i hope i helped you through the explanation of my understanding!

Well, this has absolutely no impact on my faith (I mean the Bible doesn't have to mention dinosaurs) - but I believe they are mentioned in Job 40:15-24 - translated 'behemoth' or great beast in the New King James version. 'He nmoves his tail like a cedar ... his bones are like beams of bronze, his ribs like bars of iron'.
I find it interesting that these animals should have been known in the time of Job. I think some researchers need to go back and do their homework when it comes to figuring out how long ago dinosaurs became extinct.

Christianity didn't come into play until after the dinosaurs .. the bible was written by people, who didn't know about dinosaurs.

Read the book of Job. I believe it describes large animal creatures that could be a reference to dinosaurs.

well, people did not exist in the time of dinosaurs, so the people in the bible did not know anything about them because it had not been discovered. and i don't think god had any reason to tell them to add anything about dinosaurs to the bible, it probably just wasn't that important or relevant.

for one- theres nowhere in the bible where it says you HAVE to go to church. the bible, and god, and everything that comes with it is based on belief and if its made up or true, who knows. the dinosaurs are a scientific discovery and from what im told- science and religion are 2 separate issues. maybe god never created dinos and thats why there is no mention in the bible. who knows? good question! just providing opinion!

Well, the people who wrote the bible didn't know about dinosaurs. Presumably, God isn't the type to overwhelm people with too much information.

You are trying to combine the fantasy world of religion and the Bible with the reality that is the secular and scientific world. Never works and can't be blended!
