NO,in that lifestyle its a game of cat and mouse.your freind isnt guilty of commiting any crime,so he will plead not guilty anyway.one thing u need in court is evidence, without it,no case.u sound like u have a real conscience,so i suggest u find a different career, crime and conscience dont mix,as you are experiencing, secondly,if that is the way u want to go,dont have a co-offender,do it on your own, then when u get caught, you have no-one to blame but yourself.but always remember that crooks will always be viewed as dirt bags by the majority of people.and for good reason.you may have got away with it this time, but u didnt really get away with anything, cos your conscience is punishing u.quit while your ahead

yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. yes. yes,

why should he take the fall all by himself. you were the one in the store doing the actual stealing not him. if he was the look out guy he should have been caught or if he knew you went in the store to steal and was dumb enough to wait on you he should have been caught still.

technically the could grab him., the law states that if the person is still in the store putting it into a hidden spot on them you can not grab them until they actually walk out of the store. it is not stealing until they leave with the merchandise not paid. i work for the police dept, and i work in retail part time. we can watch them retrieve merchandise put it under there close, put it in their handbags, and place it on their kids and put it in bags from other stores.

however, until they pass all register and reach for the door or step out of the store we can not touch them it is not stolen until they reach this point of the transactions....i don't know who informed you that once you reach outside you can't be touched...lol you are a theft then.

man turn yourself in, it will go lighter on you if you do so because if your friend rats you out it will be much harder and you may end up with some charges you did not do once they get through with interrogating him and he is totally pisted off at you for leaving him hang with the bag.

can you live with yourself for getting your friend in trouble?? why were you stealing anyway ... yes they had the right to grab you when you went outside, they knew you stole something but you have to leave the store in order for them to prove you stole it. I would turn yourself in and try and get your friend out of trouble. He didn't deserve to take the fall for your dumb mistake

If you took the time to go on-line and ask strangers if you should turn yourself in, then you already know what to do.

By the way if you don't, you won't have a friend to worry about, 'cause he will drop you like a hot rock.

yes they can catch you out of the store. I don't know how would your friend feel about getting in trouble for something you did? If your friend knew what you were doing then that was a risk but if not you should turn yourself in or you will just feel guilty about it

You were stealing, they can still grab you outside of the store, as for what to do I'll leave that to you and your conscience.

Seems like this is eating away at your conscience...do the right thing and help your friend out, if that means turning yourself in then that's what you have to do. He must be a good friend too if he hasn't ratted you out.

Good Luck.

No, do not turn yourself in! But it's time to STOP this immature and irresponsible behavior. Stealing is a crime and the only person you are hurting is YOU. Pitch in and help your friend with the lawyers fee.
