Peroxide. Pour it on the stains, let it bubble, then wipe it off. I don't know why it works, it just does. Then wash as usual.

Stupid as this sounds, it works well, if the stains are fresh, get your husband to spit all over them (I hope the stains aren't too big!! LOL)
Saliva from the person the blood came from will remove blood completely.. Some sort of chemical reaction I think.

Soak for 30 minutes in a solution of 1 quart warm water, 1/2 teaspoon dishwashing liquid & 1 tablespoon ammonia. Then rinse in water.

Apply a paste of meat tenderizing crystal and cold water. Allow 30 - 45 mins. to set. Rinse in cool water.
You can also dab with soda water then treat with corn starch paste.
Ammonia works great for dried blood.
Foamy shaving cream, rubbed with a sponge, often works.

Exit soap is amazing when used to remove blood among other things I have been using it for years and It has never failed me. I have even used it to remover older blood stains with out too much trouble.

I know it sounds crazy, but seriously, saturate the stains with hairspray. Preferably aerosol. Then wash; should come right out.

I swear by Zout stain remover, I don't know why that stuff isn't more popular it is like a miracle, it gets out everything.
