The driver side window will go down but will not go back up. The other windows have no problems. Everywhere I call they say I have to go to the dealer to fix it. The dealer is expensive. Why can't anybody else fix this problem?

I had the same problem on my 1995 ford explorer. I found the solution was simpler than anyone else had thought. Once I got the door panel off I pulled the window switch out and started hunting down scrap yards to find a new one. I found one and bought it cheep on ebay. Before I got it back I put my door back together to go out and it worked fine. Have not had a problem since. So I recammend you take the plug out of it and clean the contacts. Then put it back together. Good luck.

Sounds Like a Bad Switch not the Motor.

pop off the inside door panel and take out the motor, it'll be big and silver. couple of bolts Probably 8 or 10 mm. Take that to a shop or an auto parts store. I would say that is your problem, then you can get a new motor and install it your self, they come with directions.

Most likely it is a bad window switch. You can buy the switch from Ford, or try to find a used one. I would buy a new one and pop it in myself!
