I am married so please do not tell me anything about abstinance.
I'm having a head cold right now, and does that make the birth control pill any less effective? I'm on Estro-Prep. Any input would be much apprepreciated.

A cold really shouldn't change the effectiveness of birth control pills, though I have read that changes in the digestive system can prevent absorption of the chemicals.

(Some) antibiotics, and even OTC meds, can interfere with effectiveness. Be sure to talk to your doctor about anything you take for the cold.

Hope you feel better soon! : -)

Having a head cold doesn't make the pill any less effective unless you are on an antibiotic then you need to use a secondary form of birth control. Antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of oral contraceptives.

Things that make your birth control less effective are antibiotics, anti-convulsants (epilepsy meds sometimes used as mood stabilisers) and some herbal medicines like st. johns wort. If you are concerned about the interaction between medicine you may be taking and birth control, call your pharmacist and ask.

Being sick on it's own won't effect your birth control unless you are vomitting or have loose and watery stool. Being overweight might effect your birth controls effectiveness, talk to your doctor.

It won't, yet remember...you ought to use 2 varieties of start administration collectively as on Accutane to steer away from the potential for buying pregnant, because of the fact it reasons extreme start defects. So use your start administration pill alongside with condoms, spermicide, or something like that.
