it shouldn't matter arguing or not, he still shouldn't of told you that, that was very wrong, tell him how you feel, and if he keeps doing it, then you can do better, don't be with some one that will put you down, and make you feel bad, i did it for three years, and now i left him, it was the best thing i ever did, no more put downs, your not ugly, so don't let him run over you.....good luck...

He don't deserve you , he can't see the true you, because beauty is a story written with the means of the relations between proportions and shapes that vary from person to person and for can read it you are bound to know the language ; many people have they story written in an more easy to read language , in others the beauty is written in a more elaborated language that only the initiated can read , an initiation through love with the others and the environment we all live in that contain beauty in all ; the person who are seeing persons beautiful and ugly are shallow egotistical stupid persons who are thinking they know all, there are only black and white ignoring the tonal values ; in a word there aren't ugly persons , there are only persons who can't see their beauty because they are not seeing the world through they own eyes , they are seeing it through the eyes of what other people are saying not what other people are really feeling.

Katie,

You should look him straight in the face and say ...."It takes one to know one...that's why I love you so!"

Young lady .. if he was serious you need to evaluate why you were with him in the first place. If all he was looking for was a cover girl ...get him a "Elle" cover and be on your way!
Just remind him the Elle Cover isn't warm, doesn't talk, and can't hold his hand of hug him .... Oh well I guess your as two dimensional as the cover girl you have there ...Enjoy each other!

Work on your choices in the boyfriend department.
Good Luck !

I would tell him: "Well, I may have an ugly face or an ugly body, but YOU have an ugly HEART!"

I'm usually not too good at thinking up dissful or insulting comebacks, but in this case, the quote above came to me very quickly. It's short but really hits home. I kinda like it. :) However, I certainly hope I'm never in a position to have to use it!

People say hurtful things when they argue.
He may have said it because you were right, and he didn't have anything else to come back at you with. Everyone, argues sometimes, but it is such a dead end way to discuss a problem, don't you think?

Sometimes in the heat of an arguement people say things they wouldn't normally say and the truth comes out. Don't make excuses for him. Drop him and if he's really sorry make him work to win you back.

Regardless of arguing or not, that is just rude. Tell him that he hurt your feelings when he said that to you. It is then up to you whether or not you will forgive him. If you do, let it go....don't throw it up in his face anymore. Don't retaliate with anything you may regret.

My school of thought is "you said it, you've thought it".

I would seriously consider where your relationship stands. Not even married and arguing? Is this where you need to be?

Leave the bum! No excuse for him to say that even if you were arguing. I think he revealed his true colors...move on. You deserve better.
