I listen to rap because of the words, theres nothing like the brilliant vocabulary that a good spitter has.. and hip hop? that history.. look how it started, how it begun.. its an creative outlet and a sense of style.. hip hop is more then thug life and can penetrate any vest, its about the street, and the stories from the street..

Actually, I'm as white and stuffy as they get, but I love the english language, and some people in hip hop, especially the so-called "backpack rappers" have some truly insightful things to say and do so with a clever and infectious show of wordsmithing.

I listen to rap...Been listening to it for a long time now, back since when it was intellectual, but now it's still good. I like the rythms, beats, basses and lyrics. I can't stand rock, although I do like some metal. I hate emo and punk **** too lol.

Different people like different types of music and its not just a race thing. I have black friends that like country music and white friends that listen to rap. I like jazz, gospel and classical myself.
