Wow, I know what you mean. I know two Steves and they are both jerks. One of them I went to school with and he's just annoying. The other one is my step father and he is a TOTAL jerk. I prefer to call him a c*nt though - he is actually the reason I started using that word, I couldn't find a word strong enough to describe him. He is a controlling tyrant - if we leave anything out in the family area, he will hide it and not give it back. He will steal light globes from our rooms if we leave it on when we're not in the room. He hides components of the coffee machine if someone doesn't clean it properly after using it. He once dumped a plate with some leftover toast and egg on it into my bed because I forgot to put it on the sink straightaway and it was on the table for about 10 minutes. There's more but I'm sure you get the gist - he is a jerk!!

I was truley speaking to a friend about this subject 2 weeks ago, we were going through how all Alisons are kinda nice, and Seans are d!ckheads...and yes Steves are tossers!!! Every Steve has been a total drop kick.
I had thought I was the only one that thought this.
Weird to think a name could some how mould a person to be a loser.
Thanks for a cool and mind expanding question.

I am not sure how that would be "racist", but it is a rather broad generalization that ALL Steves are jerks. I happen to know two (or more, I am not able to think of everyone I know at the moment) very pleasant Steves, but I do believe you. Weird isn't it, the patterns we see with the most irrelevant common factors? Good luck with finding a nice Steve, and have a lovely day!

I used to think the same thing since I dated two guys named Mark and Eric they were all jerks. I don't know it sounds blanketed, but facinating at the same time since it seems like certain guys with certain names seem to have the jerk trait in them.

That is weird...know that I think about it, the ONE Steve that I know happens to be a lawyer and a jerk...although I don't see the difference between those...!
How funny!

I have met some nice men named Steve.
However, it seems to me that the weirdos are men named Jeff and the ones that are Geoff are even stranger.

I haven't found many Steve's that are jerks (other than you).
Usually guys named Larry, Gary, Jerry...almost anything that ends in a Y are morons. Oh yeah, and Dennis...
