While beauty isn't everything, you should do your best to be as pretty as possible. That means not being a fat slob, dressing nicely, and being well-groomed. The fact of the matter is, we are all shallow to a certain degree. We all have standards, and every one of us will draw the line somewhere. You also do not want a relationship that is purely based on looks. So make yourself not only physically attractive, but also attractive personality-wise, intellectually, etc.

I believe that beauty is not that important, but it is a necessity for a human beings, for both men and women. Why?
The 1st impression is important. When u walk on street, the reason that u are attracted a lady/guy is because one of her/his physical appearence appealed to u. If the person is not "good" enough in your eyes(i mean up to your lowest standard), i don't think u will take a look at the person. This is very true.
After u are attracted to him/her, u will try to know him/her emotionally and understand his/her inner world. If his/her character or personality or temperament is far away from what u appreciate, u will still choose to leave the person, right?
So what i can say is that, physical appearence(beauty) is the stepstone of attracting an opps sex; Yet having beauty is not all, inner quality(including way of thinking, character. ect) is also another factor.
A person with both physical and mental beauty is perfect, yet this is very rare. As long as u are a human, u have flaw.

Remember the saying ... "beauty is only skin deep."
Beauty comes from within. If you FEEL beautiful on the inside, then it will show on the outside. Of course, I do think it's important to take good care of yourself, as it will boost your self-esteem and that will show through. The more self-confident you are, the more attractive you'll be to others.
Do a test: try spending the day with no makeup on and walk around with your chin held high, smiling and being friendly with people. The result will likely be that people will be receptive to you.
Then try walking around with makeup on but keep your shoulders hunched over and a scowl on your face. Don't look people in the eye. The result will likely be that no matter how "pretty" your makeup makes you look, people will not be receptive to you.
People don't like a negative energy. So no matter what you look like, always try to keep a positive attitude and feel good about yourself. That's really the most important thing.

It helps, because it's the way the world works. Too much emphasis is put on money and beauty,They spell power. I believe it is more important to be a good person, with a great personality. Some beautiful people turn out to be "empty boxes" That is where they get the saying " beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is to the bone" We all have our own inner beauty, it just takes someone else taking the time to find it....

Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty - they merely move it from their faces into their hearts. That's my ultimate aim in life. Good looks are like diamonds. Expensive to uphold and you can't tell the real from the fake unless you are an expert. Aesthetic surgery is in fashion and there are no ugly women around. Judge not by the eyes but your head.

No. Some people are born with beautiful features, some are not. I think it's important, however, to always be well-groomed, making the most of your features. And more important than that is your personality and character.

In women, beauty is considered successful.
In men, the rules are different. Success is based on whether or not a man drinks and plays golf. To be successful, men must be able to do both of these things so the can "bond" with other men and move up the ladder of success. Double-standard; when a woman copies a man with alcohol and golf, she is not taken seriously by the men.

I think everyone is beautiful in their own way - esp. when you get to know them. It definitely comes from the inside out, if you know what I means. Outer beauty can be very deceiving.
