Ralph is an honest man with the kind of values this country was founded on. Why not vote for him? Couldn't he solve all these horrendous problems?

Sure, I would vote for him. No, he is probably NOT going to solve all of the world's problems. If he does, the Republicans will probably just make more without the Presidency.

I would not vote for Ralph Nader in 2008, even though I voted for him in 2000. I think he is an honest man, but he seems driven by a highly moralistic and frankly naive politics. Sometimes compromise is necessary and good for the country. The fact that he ran in 2004, when he had no chance of winning was foolish. Although I won't blame him, as many Democrats do, for taking votes away from Kerry, he really shouldn't have run. Bush needed to be defeated, and our country will suffer from Bush's ignorant decisions.

Ralph Nader has insufficient political allies in Washington to be an effective president. Love it or hate it, progress in that city is done by compromise - that is the nature of the game there - give a little, get a little - if you vote for the fish re-stocking bill in Illinois the Senator from Illinois may vote for the housing bill in Massachusets. Ralph Nader would only be effective in Washington if he could become a dictator, and as the most votes he ever got was 4% of the popular vote it just isn't going to happen. Interesting to speculate, but reality tells us otherwise.

I sent him money last time only because he takes votes away from the Democratic Party.

Nope, Id never vote for him but Ill keep sending him money as long as hes a wrench in the gears of the looney DNC.

But if it matters, I do agree that he appears to be an honest and trustworthy man.

Nope. I've had that CHARLATAN'S number ever since "Unsafe at Any Speed", Nader's book about the Chevrolet Corvair, half a century ago. He claimed that the rear engine and swing axles on the Corvair made it unsafe to drive. Do you know two things that the VW Beetle and the PORSCHE had in common with the Corvair? Right, and they're still made that way today. He's a Demagogue.
