this is a wolf spider

When the young spiderlings hatch they climb onto their mother's back and ride around until partially grown. Wolf spiders are not poisonous, though as with all spiders, bites may cause reactions in certain individuals.

Hehe, well, I can't help you with getting rid of them, other than to say call an exterminator. But I can answer the questions about the spiders. First, I will say that all spiders can bite. Most are not very dangerous. It would be very similar to getting bit by a bug or stung by a bee at the worst (unless there is an alergic reaction). But yes, wolf spiders will sometimes bite. But they would honestly rather run than bite, they are not out to get people:) It is better for them if they don't have to use the venom. Really, no spider wants to bite people. A wolf spider is not likely to bite, but they would if they feel very threatened. It would hurt, but it is not real dangerous. This is assuming that they are wolf spiders. It is sometimes very difficult to identify spiders, especially just by casually looking at them. Anyways, sorry if the ideas in here are sort of jumbled togther. I have been studying for too long and my brain is fried:) Hope that helps some.
Edit: just to clear what seems to be a common misconception among the answers..... Wolf spiders are venomous (not posionous, no spider is posionous, but that is a technical detail). All spiders except a very small and rare family have venom.

Yes, wolf spiders do bite, but they're not poisonous. Well, to be more accurate, all spiders carry venom, but the wolf spider's bite won't leave anything more than a nasty sore. However, I don't know how to get rid of them, sorry. Maybe call an exterminator?

There are many different species that people often identify as wolf spiders, although only one is correct. They are most commonly confused with flycatchers, both being similarly shaped. If they're a kinda fuzzy but still smaller than a taratula they're most likely harmless or even helpful as they eat bugs and brown recluse. I did have one bite me one time, but I accidentally stepped on it barefoot so it had a good reason. They are not venemous, so there were no ill effects after it let go. Gotta say, I don't know of a good way to get rid of them short of a professional exterminator.

wolf spiders are harmless, in the fact there bite is not venimous, it hurts like hell but not deadly, however I strongly recomend that you call an exterminator as it kills the ones that are in there, especially if there is a nest, and prevents anymore from getting in.

We had them BAD in the house I grew up in (S.FLA) and yes, they bite and are agressive. The house had to be tented and even still, they came back eventually. We lived next to a wooded area, too. I know they eat other insects, but they scare me to death and always will. Good luck getting rid of them!

I have cute little spiders in my basement. I can't bring myself to squish them, especially since they are keeping the basement bug-free. And they build really cool webs that look as fine as sheets of smoke.

Get a good spray at walmart or a garden center. Spiders are hunters, so you have other bugs that they are after.
