i am the proud father of 11 children.three different mothers.all 11 live with me.and although im married now,ive had to take my children[courts] from their knucklehead mothers. so the stereotype may be true, its not for all.i would appreciate from time to time some type of acknowledgement.i love my kids more than myself and would kill or die protecting them from who or whatever threatens to harm them.so thanx for the shout out!

Unfortunately good news does not make the news ! Of course there are MANY countless men who love, care, provide, protect, and look after their children, - - - but no reporters are going to show that on the nightly TV news !

Children should be first.
They need a mom and a dad.
Neither a man alone or a woman alone can do a job as good as a man and woman who love each other and their kids

Im not really sure, but atleast 3/4 of my african american friends have daddys who abandoned them at birth and never looked back. I understand what your saying, but in case you did not already know... they dont want strong black familes. They want crack head moma's and drug dealin daddy's.
Plus 1 out of 3 black men will go to jail before they are 18. What do you think that leaves us with?

.Because they want to turn the focus off of themselves. There are more white males that don't take care of their kids than blacks. The media and white society want to put a negative label on blacks by using creative statistics. My favorite is the 50% of blacks on welfare. The average person would comprehend this as meaning 50% of the people on welfare are black. What it actually mean is 6% of blacks are on welfare. Blacks make up 12% of the population and half of them are on welfare. That would mean that whites make up the vast majority of welfare recipients.

I agree with you, the good dads should get the attention. And it's not all black men-my son's dad is Portuguese and he doesn't do Anything for my son-EVER!

Because the only way to reinforce stereotypes in this day and age is with ignorant statements repeated until they are generally accepted? I dunno...
