so does he know that they're with him for the money? or does he actually think that they genuinely like him?

Simply put:$$$$ One of Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriends was on Howard Stern a few weeks ago. She just wrote a book, and she talked about some of the perks she had while living there. She got to live at the Mansion for free, plus she got a salary of around $1,000 per week. In addition, she got a car to drive, a clothing allowance, designer gowns for Hollywood events, parties and chances to meet celebrities, etc. She went on and on about the perks. She claimed that she stayed there for several months, but it was because she became such good friends with all of the other girls there.
By the way, she said the sex with Hef was awful. He laid there on his back and finished in about one minute. He did nothing to satisfy her. When he was done, the act was over!!

Money, fame and lifestyle, all without having to ever lift a finger. Plus they can be dumb as a rock and he takes advantage of that, not that he's any brighter than them.
Anyone who thinks they're in it for the sex is fooling themselves unless the girls are getting it on with each other.

And are they IN for his money ?? You betcha. But also, in an interview, the girls say Hugh *gasps in mock horror* is truly a real gentleman, respects women & treats them like gold, there you have it.

I don't know how he has so many girlfriends living with him when there is only one true one that you can truly tell that loves him. Its all just for show, and the other two just tag along for money sake.

He's someone who is obviously still stuck in his younger years and believe that younger women find him physically attractive.
If you could live in the Playboy Mansion all day and not have to have a job, and get your own reality show, wouldn't you want to be his girlfriend, too?

That show is a train wreck. You know you shouldnt watch but you cant help it. Frankly i think its sad....for all 4 of them. Heff for trying to relive his youth. Holly for wasting hers. And Kendra, is it possible to be any dumber ?
