usually you have to wait a month for the woman to go on a full cycle....it's just better to be safe than sorry.

after of which it will be safe to have sex....

(word from the wise..make SURE she regulary takes the pill)

For it to completely be in effect, it takes 3 months if its the first time taking the pill, but when switching pills, no waiting is needed. And it says that on the little insert that comes with the pills.

It depends on the strength of the hormones in the pills you are taking, they are all different. I went through about 4 different kinds before my body agreed with the one I was taking and my OBGYN ALWAYS advised me to use back up for at least the first 3 months so that the pills are in full effect. Hope that helps! :)

If you have any concerns about this, ask the doctor who prescribed the pill or consult the insert that should be enclosed in the package with the pills.

You would be safer if you would take it for an entire month, if I were you I would use another protection during the first month
