Why are they like that and if they hide their racism then they must know it is wrong right?

Its kind of like how people dont just openly admit that they are a criminal, people know that people will be or at least act offended by racism (maybe they act offended for the EXACT SAME reasons people dont openly express racism so it ends up being a endless circle of assuming the other d00d will be offended by racism). Also, what I observe is that when people assume that you share racist beliefs they'll talk about certain peoples behind their back.

And, actually a lot more people have racist beliefs then one would like to believe. All those people that say that everyone is at least a little racist, they are exactly the type of people that dont even realize that what they believe in is wrong because they have rationalized so much. I for one am not in the least bit racist and I find it pathetic how people will come up with excuses about how they really arent racist and just like veryone else.

I think everyone has prejudice and racism to some extent inside of them. I think it is a negative human trait.
But what matters is that they are trying to grow as a person and get past these assumptions and stereotypes.
If I say something or make a decision that reflects racism I hope that someone will point it out to me so I can deal with the root of the assumption and move on to be more open-minded and excepting of others.

I'll take a stab at this. The majority of people do not believe they are racist but they cannot admit to one very normal human trait. When we are faced with something or someone different we have to leave our comfort zone. We unintentionally do discriminate to get back to our comfort zone. It is human nature and it is not just a white problem. It exists in all races.

I've said somepretty mean things to Black, Mexicans, and even white people. Being white myself i say mean things to the people i dont like. If someone doesn't like you because you are black they can say they are racist but i'm sure they have at least one black friend. So it's just the vibe or something That person could ahve said.

I am not afraid of the racist, I am afraid of the people who say they are not racist but are trully racist. Everyone is racist, I don't care what race you are. I know a mixed girl (black/white) that hates blacks. That is what i don't understand.

I'm not racist. I wish I understood racism..it's ridiculous in my opinion. There is absolutely no logical reason for it. I think people do know they are wrong when racist yet many just don't care.

probably everybody is racist to an extent. we make generalities about people based on race, status, sex, and other attributes. it's just human nature.

No one's perfect and everyone thinks a little grandiose about who and what they are.
