I don't believe Dahmer used a gun. That's one of the things that I've never understood: gun control. The idea is to pass a law stating that people can't have guns, by law, let me remind you, 'cause this is going to be important later in this, m'kay?

Now, a criminal is someone who BREAKS laws. If you make guns illegal, how in the hell will that stop someone who's career, for lack of a better word, is to do the illegal?

Good question, and your answer is absolutely YES.
The reality is, that if someone is of a violent nature, they are going to find a way to enhance their violence.
Your case in point, is violence in jails, and prisons. There clearly are no guns, but the violence ensues, regardless.
For the record, though, for those that question whether or not there should be gun control. Please know that violent people will be violent with or without easy access to guns. I personally have no problem with sportsmen, etc having guns, but that is why gun control is so important. To make sure these guns are in the hands of even minded, educated people, instead of in the hands of violent criminals. Just thought I should point that out.

Yes. People have murdered others since the earliest written history. If it wasn't a problem it wouldn't have been one of the 10 commandments.

People have been murdering others long before guns existed, and not all murders are committed with guns. If magically guns disappeared there would still be murders and killing.

Even without guns, people would find a way to be violent. That's just human nature.

If we made guns illegal the only people who would have them would be the bad guys (and the cops, maybe?) There is a reason behind the 1st amendment!

Yes of course. But for those who are killing on impulse might not be so inclined to pull the trigger and wipe out several people at once. Drive by Shootings? Columbine Killings? Nope, wouldn't have happened. But, that's the price we pay for those who can't give up their guns.

It would be impossible to round up all of the guns. You would only succeed in disarming law abiding citizens. The criminals would still have guns, no matter what, and the rest of us would be easier prey.

No silly, don't you realize that the only way to kill people is with guns. No matter what you do to them, they won't die unless a gun is involved. Everyone would live forever if there were no guns

I would contact the local Department of Corrections office. They can show you all sorts of things you would have never thought of as weapons.
