Almost by definition, none.

If you read through the Judeo-Christian Scriptures, especially the prophetic writings in the Old Testament and the New Testament Gospels, one of the most blatant recurring themes is that God takes the side of the "alien", the "fatherless", the widow, and the poor -- in short, those who have NO political voice, no one else to stand up for them and no power to assert their own rights. Jesus tells us pretty clearly in Matthew 25:31ff., and other similar passages, that how we fare in the final judgment will be directly related to how we treat these people who have NO other help, NO voice. God has no agenda and would not sign on to any human agenda, period. I am not as familiar with the Islamic Scriptures, but what I do know of them suggests to me that they would also lead to a similar conclusion.

I would also wholeheartedly endorse any of Jim Wallis's writings, especially the recent "God's Politics," for further discussion of this question. I think it's also beautifully summed up by one verse from a song by the incomparable Rich Mullins, called "You Did Not Have a Home":

You had no stones to throw
You did not have an axe to grind
You did not tow the party line
No wonder sight came to the blind
Because you had no stones to throw...

Neither. If you're actually interested in reading about this, I would highly recommend Jim Wallis' "God's Politics: Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn't Get It."

In short, the Republicans break all sorts of rules explicitly laid out by Biblical teachings - don't warmonger or sabre rattle, help the poor and needy, etc, etc. The Democrats tend to not want anything to do with God (which is changing, thankfully.)

Anyways, it's a good read.

God would not choose a political party. Both are corrupt and only do what is bst for the party, not for ths citizens of the United States.

I think he would be shaking his head in disgust at all of them. Political parties have turned into just another form of segregation in this country. In the long run,it is people, not a party, who are suppose to be running the government for the common good of the people. You shouldn't have to belong to a "party" to know what is right or wrong. What is wrong with just being an American citizen with a voice? Bring back an honest voting system where everyone's vote does count regardless of your income, race, or religion. And let us vote on the issues as a country!

None, a political party is based on a point of view adgenda of a person or persons, where as God would have a self point of view and would be more of an indipendent nature, right and wrong not based on an adgenda

As a Christian, I would say God would choose neither party. Neither party comes anywhere close to representing the standards that Jesus Christ set for us.

God isn't American so it wouldn't matter... for that matter, he's not any nationality so that means he wouldn't ever have a part in any political party.
