Me and this girl were REAL good friends for a while, inseparable, but we made the mistake of dating. We broke up a year and a half ago on real bad terms and basically threw away the great friendship we had along with it but now she wants to start chillin to rebuild our friendship again. We hung out last week but it was akward because i feel like i dont know her anymore. She has a new man and a baby and i have no feelings for her whatsoever and honestly have no desire in hanging with her cuz i see no point as both of our interests have changed over the months. Do i tell her that we should just move on or kinda just play things out?

no harm in being friends, right? If you dont feel like hanging out don't, but remember how good of friends you were before you dated? Obviously because your lives are different and you have taken different directions your chances of hanging out will be less often, but when your paths cross it will be easier to have an amicable friendship.

I have a boyfriend and i couldnt imagine if we broke up on bad terms and then we remained friends but if i really think about it life is too short and if you were once really good friends why move on? when you really care for someone it just doesnt go away its always there. I would try to work on a friendship.

Never date friends! Rule number 1. If the relationship goes south, dont try to renew a friendship. There is too much water under the bridge and you will never have the relationship you once had. It is best to just go your own way and keep it that way.

I say tell her the truth, so both of you can move on. If you don't want to be friends anymore, then you have to be a bigger person and say hey, this just isn't working for me anymore. We're two different people going in different directions.

You two are not the same people that you were when you were friends. It's really pointless to have a friendship with someone with whom you have nothing in common with anymore.

Move on!! You want the person back from before but her life has changed in so many ways. You can't revive something that is dead. Don't romanticize how it "used to be" but see it for what it is...trying to artificially revive something that naturally has ended. Good luck!

It sounds like you have nothing in common anymore. Do you still want to be in her life. You need to decide. Is your friendship worth salvaging?
