it will look like a black scab @ your elbow.....

seriously,,,,, will look bad, very bad...........don't be stupid...
have it done right, the right way.

and placement is as important as the work itself.... this is a very bad idea, all the way around.

you may not believe that now,,,at 15...... but trust the word of someone who knows,,,,,, rethink this art and its placement....
it can be 1000 times better than what you have in mind.

think of what you would think of someone if and when you saw a horrible little tattoo that looked like it was put in with a dull spoon on them...... you would think "that's ugly as hell,,, they must be stupid"

that's what others will think of you, if you do this.

do it the right way,,,, and i bet they wont think that.

a few things in life should never be done half azzed and rushed,,,, a tattoo is one of them......understand?

you don't need a kit dear, my brothers taught me how to give prison tats when I was fourteen, and they CAN look good. I have a wolf's head I gave myself on my ankle when I was sixteen, and it looks rather lovely. They used to make the ink from burned plastic spoons, mixed with a bit of baby oil, but those are the ones that fade, turn bluish, and get ugly. Now, you can find bottles of india ink (recommended) at art supplies stores, just make sure it is permanent. Get a sewing needle, hold the needle over an open flame for about sixty seconds, then for good measure dip it in rubbing alcohol for at least another sixty. Thourouhly cleanse the area to be tatted with antibacterial soap, and then give it a swipe with rubbing alcohol as well. After sterlizing the needle with flame and alcohol, take about a five inch piece of thread and wrap it tightly around the top of the needle, (this can be burnt as well, slightly for sterlile purposes) leaving only a tiny fraction of the point sticking up through, this is a guard to make sure you don't puncture the skin too deeply, and it also acts as a well for the ink. Draw your pattern out on the skin,(be picky, a tat is permanent) do not bend your arm, cause when its held in normal vision, it (the tat) will be puckered. Then carefully dip the needle in ink, and start making a puncture outline around the pattern guide, you have to do this repeatedly until the tat looks good, be paitent, make sure the person doing this to you is a good friend, and paitent, cause it will take a while. Occassionally wipe away blood, so you can see your tat outlines. If you are careful, and paitent, I think you can do well. Not as quick as a tat gun, but effective in its own ways. And as long as you are clean, and remember to sterlize, (be anal!) infection risk can be minimized. (All the kids I tatted in High school never had a problem) Homemade tats can be nice, maybe not as nice as professional, but if kept simple, and the artist is well rehearsed, and paitent, I've seen some REALLY good home/prision tats.

Get a professional!!!!! Let me share this....I have a few tats done with a homemade gun, they (the guns) are made out of something that is motorized, like an electirc toothbrush motor or something like that, the barrell is usually an ink pen barrell, the needles can be real tat needles or they can be guitar string cut into peices and sharpened with a dremel tool. they guy who did mine was very talented and very sterile and they look good, but I trusted him totally. the homemade guns will not run as fast as a real tat gun, so it will hurt a bit more and if you are getting a fill in done, it could not be uniform, and could need several touch ups before it is entirely filled in. The guy who did mine was very sterile, but I would never trust anyone else to do that, I trust my tat shop now. take my advice, pay the money and go to a reputeable shop. you can get real sick from unsterile equipment and ink, if the guy dips from the bottle that is spreading blood and germs....dont do it!.....and think about this, where do you think they get the ink in prison? its not real tat ink I can tell ya that.

I would most definately NOT get a homemade tattoo. They are so dangerous! They probably won't like good either. Tattoos are expensive but they are SO worth it, believe me. Most tattoos have some kind of warranty (if you take care of it and the color fades/looks bad, you can get it touched up for free) and the artist will do it much faster. Besides, you're only 15, so start saving up now and you'll be able to afford a nice tattoo once you can get one (legal age is 18 here in Illinois).

DONT DO IT wait until you are old enough to get one done by a pro. Look at my pic. I have a whole lot more ink covered than not. In fact nineteen hours on my back alone. I have had all my work done by pros. Believe me there is a lot of cheesy work out there. Don't add yours to the list.

Hello infection... Please don't even try... you could end up with an infection or worse... and at the very best your tattoo will end up looking like a crappy blob... wait until you are of age and get it done by a professional

homemade tattoo guns are easy to make.its not the gun that makes a bad tat,its the person useing it.i suggest u dont make one for yourself, cos u will find u wont stop at one tat,and they dont wash off.in answer to your question, yes i have made a few guns in my time, and the tats from it arent that bad,but i know a few good artists.keep your arm straight.
