I hope you didnt scratch your surface before reading this....

Those white hazy rings are from moisture getting trapped in the finish.... you do NOT have to remove the finish to get the moisture out.

Here is a simple trick, and it has worked every time... (Ive done a LOT of wood work over the years)... take a hair dryer... yep, you read it right.. a HAIR DRYER.. put it on its lowest heat setting... and gently waft it back and forth over the moisture spot. By waving it back and forth, you do not run the risk of damaging the finish.. but the applied heat will make the moisture evaporate out of the finish. This might take about 15 minutes, give or take a few. A whole lot faster and easier than stripping the table, and trying to refinish it.

Have Fun!

It's a discoloration of the wax (hoepfully not the/varnish)...warm (not hot) some mild polish and use slight pressure in small, circular motions.

If that doesn't work, odds are that you'll have to remove the wax that's discolored. Don't doe anything stupid, or you could really make an expensive project fror yourself.
