I don't know the name, but it might be called "memory"... take the cards shuffle them good and lay them one by one, side by side, upside down (numbers facing the ground/table) and turn over two at a time, if they match pick them up, put them in a pile then pick two more and so on, if they don't match flip them back over and pick two others... keep doing this until you get all the matches. You can either do this by number/color or take out all one color, either reds or blacks and then play it... it will be a small deck to start off with, but once you become really good or want a real challenge then you can use the whole deck. It can't hurt to try it, you might like it, but you'll never know if you don't try...

Solitaire is a good single player card game. There are many variations so it doesn't get to boring.

Solataire, 52-pickup, Uno (if you're playing against yourself, you're guaranteed to win). You could also get addition/subtraction flash cards to brush up on your math.
