I don't know who's not giving credit to Bin Laden for being smart...he's extremely smart. I hate his viewpoints and I hate his actions, but not just any dumbass can lead a plot to overtake multiple US airliners in one day.

By the way, we're not going to go broke with this war, as long as there are still programs to slash. A lot are gone already...look at federal funding for anything to go out the window. But hey, that's the way you conservatives want it (lower taxes, just leave us alone) - just don't come cryin' to me when you can't afford anything because you were used to relying on the government to help you out.

300 billion on Iraq is peanuts. Its the lost tax revenue from Bush's tax cuts precisely when we have a medicare and social security baby boom crisis looming that will do more to hurt us. Thats in the neighborhood of minus $80 trillion. Couple that with his spending and you have some major problems coming. Its not Osama. Its Bush.

Let's put it this way...Bin Laden is way smarter than Dubya Bush (but then most people are).
Bin Laden didn't bank on his act exploding into a disastrous, nonsensical "War on Terror". He is thanking his stars that Dubya became President 'cos Dubya became overnight from small fry to Global Kingpin.
