Gets colder longer in Milwaukee. When spring comes to Cinci you will still be wearing your parka and looking at the ice blockages on lake Michigan.

Milwaukee= Alice Cooper & Cheeseheads
Cincinnati= Bootsy Collins & Bearcats
Both areas have the same approx. 5 percent unemployment rate
Cost of Living index is about the same too. Both have sucky weather. For me I would pick Milwaukee cause it is more of a move away and so would be more fun & challenging as a life experience.

I've lived in Milwaukee for 10 years and I've never been to Cinci, but I am more than happy to put in a vote for my hometown.
Milwaukee has a fantastic art museum, a not-bad music scene, cheap rents at apartments in nice parts of the city, a great ballpark, the largest music festival in America, and enough bars to ensure that you can generally get a good drink price.
If you are a Democrat, Milwaukee should get your vote as well. We are a city of Democrats, where as Cinci, if I understand correctly, is one of the few major metropolitan areas (Houston, San Diego, et al) that are considered Republican.

Milwaukee - ignore the cold. Cincinnati has too much racial tension with the hick police and black gangmembers.
I liked Minneapolis a lot and always assumed Milwaukee had the same friendly atmosphere.
Really, you probably couldn't go wrong either way.
