Stick a fork in the White Sox. They're officiallaly out of the playoffs. The question is, who takes the Central with precious few games to go? Tigers or Twins?

Strange things have been known to happen in the final week of the season. Throw out what you might think is a pud schedule in your favor. Throw out head to head records on previous meetings. Non of this matters now. This is the big chance for certain teams (like KC) to play spoiler. Say, What else do the Royals have left to play for. They'll probably get their 100th loss tomorrow night. All they can do now is to try to mess up somebody else's dream.
Can the Tigers hang on to the one game lead or will the Twins slip in through the back door. Either way, it should be interesting and it could go down to a 1 game playoff if they tie.
You might as well flip a coin.

The Twins WILL win the division, and maybe take the leagues best record for home-field throughout the playoffs. That leaves the Wild Card for Detroit.

That's a no brainer.

The Detroit Tigers!

With our win tonight (and Minnesota is winning as I write this) it reduces thier magic number to 4 (3 if Minnesota losses).

Also you have to remember the last weekend of the season The Tigers play KC (whom they have beaten 15 of 16 so far).

So even if The Twins win tonight...they are still 1 game out with 5 left to go.

The Schedule favors Detroit.

Detroit, They have the easier Schedule left. The Twins finish with the White Sox while Detroit gets K.C.

Detroit will hold on cuz there is just not that much time left!

Tough series against the White Sox (just cuz of the rivalry)

Santana won't pitch again (he won tonight), so it's Detroit all the way
