Good question. I honestly don't know. All the damage may not have been done yet. What I can't understand is how the nation can be so polarized over its opinion on Bush. It almost makes me suspect it's really only a few handful of powerful people in the media, and of course your fundamentalist anal rententives harvesting the not-so-asute minds of the voting public into believing that Bush is a "patriot." It's a common fascist tactic.

haha, everyone complaines about bush, it makes me laugh. Every country bitches about the U.S and how we play the world police. Everyone BITC3S when we go to iraq about the war and all that other crap. Im sorry, we'll go ahead and stop being the world police and give the world back their hitlers, musoline's and escobars Oh lets put a guy in office who will pull our troops which will then bring the terrorists from the middle east and steer them right into our country....other countries whine about Ugly americans...

Im sorry that our country is the strongest country in the world and everyone else is jealous that our economy kicks their a$$...oh and by the way...I say since everyone disagrees with our ethics that when natural disasters and bombings accure in their country when they ask for our money (as they always do) we turn them down and say Im sorry ugly americans dont give hand outs anymore. My opinon is, Everyone stop bitching about this country and appreciate the fact that all though politicians are dirty (always have and always will be) its better than living in a third world country where it is not safe to go outside and being outside past 8 more than likely ends up in rape, death or robbery. Only thing I have to say about us americans is we are un-grateful for what we have. Im not even a republican.

I'd say it is safe to say that you won't recover at least until he is out of office....

Beyond that I think it'll depend on who is elected next...though I think you'll find a large portion of the world can be very forgiving on people/nations who repent...(not in a religous way.)

You know, as a Canadian, I really didn't understand that two term limit for a long time....until ...oh say the last term!

We only need a liberal President half as good as Clinton and we'll be back on track within his first term of office. Just like people are quick to forgive someone for making a fool out of himself when drunk, I think foreign powers will be quick to forgive America for her actions while she was ruled by such a brain-damaged criminal fool as Bush.

actually, if a really great president came along, maybe in a decade or so.

history shows that the best presidents came after the worst ones. for example, FDR received office when the country was in a very bad situation and helped us recover.

we'll just have to see who runs for president after bush is out!
