The baby foods today are sold in "stages." I think stage 2 or 3 is the appropriate stage your10-month old. If your grandbaby has teeth, you can start introducing him/her to some bland table foods like mashed potatoes, macaroni, and cheerios. A suggestion is not to put too much on the baby's tray because they tend to stuff too much in their mouths.

Gerber also has star-shaped cereal bits flavored like fruits and vegetables. They dissolve very fast in their mouth.

Also, you might want to cut back on formula for this baby. By the time they are near the walking stage, they usually don't need as much formula.

I hope this information helps you.

ok well 10 month olds have a tummy about the size of there little hands, so I would do like a jar or apple sauce, and if she is still fussy then go ahead and do about a 1/2 of another jar......remember that it takes time for you to feel full and them too! So then also give enough time in between feedings to give formula or breast milk or whatever the mom uses.....if they still act hungry its probably not food or drink they want up something to just suck on binky, or what not...Good Luck

as far as I know, the baby should still be on baby food. Thats what I always followed.
I did baby fruit or baby juice mixed with rice or oatmeal baby cereal for breakfast. 1/2 jar of Fruit and a 1/2 jar of vegatable for lunch and a 1/2 dinner and 1/2 dessert for dinner. Maybe supplement during the day with those biter biscuits or zwybacks.
Gerber and I can't remember the other big brand make all kinds of awesome baby foods.

She will eat until her tummy is full. Let her be the judge. Also, it would be hard to say what to feed her if I do not know anything about her. Does she eat solids, does she have teeth, is she allergic to anything, is she still on jar food, does she choke easily? All things I would need to know to give you some suggestions. You seem like a very loving grandparent though!

She should be eatting about 36oz of formula per day max. Also about 3 meals a day. About 3 tablespoons of food mixed with Infant cereal to the right consistance works the best.

Breastmilk or formula is supposed to be the main food source for the first year making up 75% of their calories. Give milk first, and then offer solid foods if they still want more. Food at this age is more to get them used to taste and texture than nutrition. Here's a helpful website.

Feed her what she'll eat comfortably. Once she starts to loose interest, or starts spitting food out she is indicating she is threw. If you buy some infant feeding dishes you will be able to put food into it and that will stop you from giving her oversized feedings.
