What is meant by that statement is that you must be responsible for your every action so that you can love and respect yourself for your positive aspects and once you have begun to love yourself, then you will draw others into your life who also can love you. No matter who you have allowed yourself to become, if you make the effort to be someone you can truly love, then others will as well.

you have to BE the right person before you can FIND the right person. if you don't like yourself and have a low self-esteem, you will accept people in your life that abuse and mistreat you. that is not true love. by honoring yourself and what you believe in, you will accept nothing but the highest standards-and that is where true love blooms.

All they are saying is you have to like yourself, and be who you are, do not pretend to be someone your not. You have to be confident with you, be proud of yourself, do not rely on someone else to do that for you. Love you and then the rest falls into place.

it means if you are unable to love yourself, meaning who you are and how you are, then why would or should someone else love you.A person must learn some time in their life to love who they have become, from experiences, as well as accept themselves and learn to be happy with your life before any one else is able to accept you for who you really are. meaning you have learned to love yourself.

When you love yourself, you are a happier, healthier person and that is apparent to others. People are drawn towards people who are secure in themselves.
