It's been asked before to no avail, but why, if you are REALLY interested in a ques or a best ans., don't you use the view/comment spot under the best ans.? Don't know about? Don't care 'cause you didn't get BA? Might be that someone else thinks your's is. I just discovered it, and it can really help.

I always make comments. Especially, when the asker chooses the most ridiculous reply. And what irks me , the asker didn't even care for that answer but still went ahead and chose that as best answer. No rhyme nor reason. Me, I'm very choosy which questions to answer. And if it requires some research, I do; because I want to give factual truths and accurate information. I really don't care for the points; although it's an added bonus. When you feel that your efforts and the amt of meticulous attention given to each question ,should be recognized and properly rewarded. I also like to believe that I contributed some valuable information. It's more of a self affirmation.

I always do. Or it say picked by voters. why ask a question if you don't care about the answer or try to pick a best answer? I have voted for best answers before and some are really good.... and yes your right it does help.

it all depends on the question. if it is something that i think is particularly poignant then i will comment. otherwise i just let it be.
