I am in a job were I am the boss of a union shop of about 20 guys at a time. Here is my problem Im bored i make good money and great benefits but am not permitted to do any thing except supervise union jobs union ways. do i move on or stick out?

Well, my theory goes like this: you are performing optimally at a job where you feel good. Therefore you might be underpaid. Look around, send out resumes and schedule interviews on a day, like 3 of them, and then take a day of from your job, and try your luck. No need to risk it.

It sounds really horrible to say it, but keep that job as long as you can draw breath and find something to entertain you when you get bored. Union work, especially at the supervisor level, is the next best thing to hitting the lottery. You know your benefits are great but you have no idea how truly great till you compare them to a non-union job, and it's close to impossible to get fired. Throw in a nice raise every year and it's pretty much dreamy. In fact, I might want to trade jobs with you!

You usually know when it's time to move on in a job. Sometimes it's just time. Start looking around for something else with good pay.

How long have you been on this job? Are you young? If young and not on the job long I say move on.
If old and fairly close to retirement stay. Find a hobby

if u can afford to look for another job, then quit it and look for something you'll be excited to get up for. i mean, you'll be doing it (maybe) for the rest of your life, why not enjoy what u do? good luck.
p.s. money isn't everything, and it doesn't buy joy.
