Hard to say. What does the rash look like? If it looks like welts with clear fluid on the top it's chicken pox. If it little red raised dots this could be measles (several different forms.) It won't help to take her to the Doctor and you'll just contaminated other kids. Call your pediatrician in the morning and tell them what she has. You'll probably be able to give them a better description of the rash. They'll='ll advise you how to care for rash and when to call them is her symptoms get worse or possible side effects she could have. Good luck - I hope she sleeps well and isn't uncomfortable.

Just about anything and everything can cause a rash, especially viruses that cause a fever. I know (not to freak you out) that West Nile Virus causes a low grade fever and a rash that starts on the trunk of the body and works its way down. The good news is that it causes serious illness in less than 1% of the people who contract it. You have to watch your baby for signs of a stiff neck, especially not being able to bend her chin to her chest without getting very upset. This is an indication of a serious secondary condition of West Nile called encephalitis (swelling of the membranes surrounding the brain stem and brain) and should be treated as an emergency. I have 2 little boys, 2 yo and 1 yo and have seen numerous fevers and accompanying rashes that went away on their own. The important thing is if, for the most part, your daughter is acting like herself. Trust your instincts mum and good luck!!

It could be fifth disease which is a common viral infection that will clear up on its own. Does she have bright red cheeks also? It could be something else too however, so you should get it checked by a doctor. A lot of rashes like that are caused by viruses though.

hmmm and you havent feed anything new? what about deturgents have you changed soaps at all? you might have a allergic reaction to something, is she even acting like its bothering her? I would use some aveeno body wash and bath her in that cause it has the natural oils from oatmeal and I used that on my daughter when she was allergic to strawberrys (pharmasist recomended it to me) Good luck and call a doctor if it doesnt clear up you dont want your poor baby in pain

Is she on a new medicine? What about a new laundry detergent? It could be anything from heat raash to chicken pox. But it sounds like an alergic reaction to me, I would definately call your doctors office. Hope all is well!

Sounds like roseola (a form of measles), but you'd better take her to the doctor to make sure, cause it also could be a strep rash or something else. DOCTOR!!!!

I do not know if this is going to be spelled right but i will spell it like it sounds...ROSAYSHA...OR ROSEOLA< one or the other... My son had it and my wife Diagnosed it out of a book and sure enough she was right when we went to the doc....Keep giving the infant motrin or Tylenol..do not mix or match them no matter who says to, and call her doctor..It will pass. Good luck

Take her to the pediatrician.

It could be many things - allergic reaction, or many other illnesses.

Better safe than sorry.
