fleas jump straigt up. weird, huh? i've never heard of them crawling. someone on here said to put achohol in dihes around and they would jump into it. Might work. otherwise bomb the suckers! we have flying insects so tiny they come right thru screens. then they fly around in a cloud under the lights. too many birds to spray. trade?

do they bite you ? fleas bite! i moved into a rental house that had carpet and the carpet looked clean so i thought everything would be fine .i don't have any pets so i knew they wasn't from anything i had within a two week period of time i had over 60 bites on my body and had to go to the doctor.185.oo and then my medicine was 100.00 and now i have scars all over myself from fleas. and fleas don't only jump they can crawl but most of the time they do jump.oh yeah not counting the 100.00 at the vets office buying bombs and spray for the house but it did take care of the problem but as soon as i could i got out of that house..anyways you could also have termites i know that sounds bad but they have antennas and they crawl also and are small and also squish-able ..by them being outside too i would say they are termites but because i haven't seen them I'm not sure..i also had those at the same house

What you're describing, may be a gnat. The best thing for you to do, is look it up online. I can't, because I haven't seen the bug. I get them on my computer screen at night, when the other lights in the room are off. The next time you catch one & gently kill it, take it to a garden center, & see if someone can tell you what kind of bug it is. Then, you can find out how to get rid of it. Good luck!

if you have them really bad use flea bombs. I had a bad case in my apartment one time and i used the flea bombs. They are messy. If you have kids or pets you may want to consider a weekend trip to grandmas. I found that after i used the bombs i still had fleas. A few days later on a warm day i had left the front door open. I noticed that night that i hadnt noticed any fleas. So i guess the little nasty nippers all took flight. True story.

When I want to get rid of bugs, I buy the gallon size of Ortho Max for $10-15 from The Home Depot etc... It has a small hose and little squeeze handle. I feel like an exterminater spraying around the house.

There are a couple of possibilities as to what they are. You didn't say if they fly. If they are very small, they could be fruit flies or fungus gnats. If they are either of those, the yellow sticky strips that garden centres sell would work very well. Most bugs are attracted to yellow, fly to it, and then stick on the strips. A bit gross, but very safe. Check your plants and their soil, if you have any, see if they are in there. That would suggest fungus gnats. If they are buzzing around the fruit, that could be either. Good luck.

Sounds like fleas to me. Where do you live?

depends on where you live. Fl. has what they call, no-seeums (not sure on the spelling). similar to fleas & they bite too.

If you can see antennas, they aren't fleas. What they are I don't know.
