You should use over the counter products like calamine lotion or other anti-itch cream. Benadryl sometimes helps with allergic reactions but if it gets too irritated or itches so much you can't stand it you can go to the doctor to get an injection that will help. Also, you should make sure you wash the area directly after exposure to plants because it spreads through contact with oils from the plant you wouldn't want to spread it any more.

poison ivy is caused by the oils inside the plant-called urushiol.

try using cold washcloth compresses to the rash and also use a fan to blow cold air over it after using the washcloths-the key to help relieving itch is to dry the blisters out. you can also ty rubbing ice cubes over the blisters and then using the fan to dry. the cold from the ice cubes helps to numb the blisters-relieving the itch.

after drying the rash with the fan, apply calamine lotion-this will also help dry up the blisters and relieve the itch. it forms a thin crust over the blisters, helping them to be less sensitive and protects them from becoming irritated by outside elements.

dont use hydrocortisone or benadryl creams as these can cause an allergic reaction of their own and futher worsen the itching and irritation to the rash itself.

you can take oral bendadryl at night to help you sleep and relieve the itch. take 1-2 of the 25mg tablets every 6 hours as needed but no more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

take baths rather than showers and use an oatmeal bath such as aveeno to help relieve the itch. use only mild soaps with no dyes or perfumes to avoid irritating the rash.

hope u feel better soon

Calamine lotion may help, but try to get the clear formula or else your affected area will be pink.
Oatmeal baths have been shown to help, it blocks the itch.
BakingSoda paste (take some baking soda, and a little bit of water and mix until its a paste) and spread it on the affected area will help to kill the itch
GoldBond anti itch lotion helps also, plus its got other medicines in it to help heal it up.
Take some Benadryl. But beware, benadryl can cause drowsiness, so dont take it and head off to work or driving until you see how you react to it. Some people have no trouble with it, and others it makes them sleep.
Band-aid anti itch gel or cream has been shown to help dry it up and get rid of it quickly. It can be found at any store such as Walmart, Target, etc.

go to your local indian tribe (if u have one) and have them fix u up. otherwise, you need to find some jewelweed (not sure if thts it, the ppl around where i live call it either spring poppers, or waterweeds) ytake the plant stem and all, and crush it up with your fingers so that ur all sticky, and rub it everywhere u have ivy/oak. i dont know how/why it works, but my mom had it really bad when she was a kid, and after a native american friend told her to do tht, neither her, nor me or my sister have ever had it (and i know if gotten incontact with it sometime) i think it gives ur body what it needs to be ale to get rid of the posion, and teaches it how to do it.

(you may need to be a little more specific in your phrasing of the question)
