This is good time to go over the ad hoc fallacy. It comes up in many forms. It appears most frequently as stating that a is b ignoring more reasonable explanations. Like for instance, i) you disagree with his policies and instead of admiting that you don't know why you state that he must lack intelligence.

Monkey's have gotten a bad rap since bush took office, and its not fair. Monkey's can learn sign language and are very loving creatures. Bush can smash a beer can on his head...on a good day.
