on my breast, there is a small, pea sized, knot. It doesnt hurt and it isn't discolored, but It been there about a month or more.I can pinch it lightly and I can tell that its below the surface of my skin, not just a bump on my skin. I thought nothing of it, but now I'm wondering what in the hell it is. Any thoughts?

GO CHECK WITH A DOCTOR

no, its not cancer (thank goodness)! ive have the red bumps your talking about on my breasts, too. all I had to do to get rid of them was use Vaseline lotion. its for extremely dry skin -not saying that your chest is dry- and it took care of it in just a few days. i dont know exactly why it worked, but it did. now i dont have any red bumps (and yes, they were filled with that nasty stuff you've described) and as long as i use it, i never will. just rub it all over the area -and the rest of your breast to prevent any others coming up- every night. because you popped the one you already had, you may want to also apply a scar cream to eliminate any scarring that could cause. both of these products can be found in wal-mart. theyre very cheap, so budget should not be an issue. good luck! =)

It might be a cyst. When you push on it does it move around a bit?? or does it hurt when you eat something with caffeine. I had this problem and I had to go and get a mammogram. If your really worried go see a doctor. Oh and if the bump gets bigger it probably isn't cancer because cancer is a lot slower. but like i said go to your doctor he would know best. Hope that helps!! :)

Probably a cyst. I have several some with both surface and sub-surface "lumps". My doc says it's nothing, but best advise, if your concerned is an ultrasound. See if your covered. Traditional approach is a mamagram, but the secondary test for a positive mamagram is verification with an ultrasound, so skip the "grape press" and go for the ultrasound to put your mind at ease.

Ooooohh Honey! When was your last mammogram or breast exam? Please do these things right away w/your nurse practitioner or doctor. It sounds like it's just a cyst or some fibers clumping. Not a big deal. But you MUST have a professional make this decision. I've had many close calls & surgeries for my fibrocystic breast disease...none dangerous, thank God. But you must go to your gynecologist right away! TAKE CARE!!

Don't mean to scare you, but please go get a Mammogram w/ biopsy ASAP! If there is something to catch, you'll want to know right away so you will have a better chance of cure. Your doctor should schedule an appointment for you immediately. Be sure to call first thing in the morning in case you need a referral!

I have plenty of bumps, lumps and so on. Had several mammograms over the past two years, 4 dr.'s looking at everything. I never just take one dr.'s diagnosis, good, bad or indifferent. Guess what? Lots of women, and men, have very unharmful lumps, bumps and so on. Not all are worth worrying over. Make an appt. and put your mind at ease. Worse case, you caught something early, best case, you spent time on something you shouldn't need to worry about. GOOD LUCK.

You didn't state your age but I would definitely have a doctor check that out. It's quite possible that it's a benign cyst but you want to rule out anything serious.

Get it tested ASAP, probably nothing to worry about. If you are interested in preventing cancer, the mechanism is already established and the complex carbohydrates easy to obtain.

Take care now.

Maybe just a calcium deposit/buildup or an in-grown hair.. Call your OB/GYN. Or goto WebMD.com. Tons of info out there online for free!

Good luck, I'm sure it's nothing serious.

It's probably either a cyst or a tumor. Go get it checked by your doctor.
