civilization is definitely not for the faint of heart, or the casual gamer. its all about intense RTS, and that is the very thing that lets me survive until Supreme Commander comes out. Civilization is enormously long, and will bore the casual gamer by its sheer size. one can almost assume that the game never ends. almost. its huge! even with the intensity of it, it takes forever. if you want the ultimate thrill, then go for it. but note that civilization will almost require total immersion during sessions in order to succeed. for example, its not the game you play whilst chatting with your friends. your attention will be completely devoted to the game for victory to occur. if you cant do that, then i do not recommend this game or you. if you can though, definitely go for it.

It gets a little on the complicated side during the later stages of the game, when you have a giant civilization going and you're trying to manage it and stuff. It's hard to keep track of all your units.

But you can play the game very simply, and still have a fun time.

Nope not at the beginning its just fun but later when you got a huge army and civilization things get out of control and keeping track of your units is hard but all in all it is a fun game and if you don't like the game I advise Rise of nations or Age of empires
