Well, I've never seen a response from a self-described grammar Nazi (actually many answerers identify with that title) that evidenced any insight into real grammar/language. It seems to me that a lot of grammar Nazis learned a few "rules" (some of them not really rules) and just want to seem authoritative when they have no credentials at all to back up their opinions. It also irks me that some people call punctuation conventions "grammar." Punctuation falls into the "mechanics" area. Punctuation isn't really that interesting.
