Haha, before I even clicked on your question Resident Evil 4 came to mind and there it is on your list. So that's obviously my choice =)

Call of Duty 2 looks fantastic on the 360, has frenetic action that makes me curse and smile within the same 30 second span, and is great fun on Xbox Live.
While it's not the best game I've played in the past 3 years, it is one of the best action games, and certinly the best one I've played on the list you provided.
Black was fun gunplay, but shooting someone in the head 3 times to take him down isn't my idea of fun. And had some cool moments, but it felt kinda empty and repetitive. Max Payne would take second place, in my opinion.

F.E.A.R is simply the best that i have played in the last 3 years.
sure halo and halo 2 were amazing but F.E.A.R is the most groundbreaking game i have ever played.

I prefer Max Payne: Fall of Max Payne. It's one of my fav's. The first one was great too.
