I have a cingular account that i opened about two weeks ago. It is currently under my name but i wish to transer it to my girl friends name instead. Would i be able to do that?

Its better to cancel your servcie and let her do it in her name.
You can do it though. They will have to run a credit check on her first and have her pay her deposit if it is required. Then you will have to fill out a transfer of liabiliiy form. From then your contractual obligations are over, and now she will be responsible. You will pay some fee. I think the guy above is right, you have to had it for a few months before you do it.

Normally speaking, no. The account has to be open for a certain number of months before it can be transferred to a different persons name. This depends on what market you live in.

sorry yet cingular and sprint are one 2 thoroughly diverse networks, gsm and cdma. you could only use gsm(phones that require sim playing cards) with the cingular community. cingular has the RAZR v3i and v3r it somewhat is like the pink razr, you should use those

Go talk to one of the sales people in the company owned stores not one of the retail places.

yes...call them ONLY if you have had the account for 3 MONTHS...and tell them who you want to put the accounts name in...and they will be more than happy to do that...or you can just goto the store and do it
