my 15 year old daughter has been buying smaller bikinis over the years....should i allow this?

You dont say just how small? If all the girls are wearing these then you will only make her feel angry towards you if you act on this. If she is the only one wearing this sort of bikini, you can sit her down and tell her your concerns about it. But dont expect to get a good reception as you will most probably just look to her oldfashioned. She is after all 15 and if she looks good in that bikini she is going to want to wear it. Maybe just set down some guideline like the obvious ones 'dont go anywhere wearing that on your own' Put something over it when you leave the beach.
AH isnt it fun being a parent!

NO!!!! All she is doin is trying to get attention from boys. She is still too young for that. We all know the age kids are starting to have sex is like 12.. You need to watch what she is wearing. Showing too much skin does affect the opposit sex. and will lead to other things. This girl i babysit for is like 12 and she has a bikini that can barley hold anything and the only reason she wears it is for attention from OLDER guys... NO way u crack down on that .Take her our and buy a really cute one piece or a two piece that is decent. NO BIKINIES at that age..

you've allowed it up until now . . . you can stress the importance of looking like a lady when out in public . . but at this point, when she's been allowed to do it for so long, not sure how much help it will do . . . but then again, you're the mom, so it's SUPPOSED to be up to you what she buys or doesn't buy anyway, right?!

Well, do you want boys and men looking at her in a sexual way? Not they don't do this anyway, but the skimpier the clothes the more looks she will get. I think It is too young myself.
