distance = speed times time

distance = 11 m/s * 24 s = 264 m

You need to give two thing: Initial speed (velocity to be accurate) and an acceleration. So the problem is incomplete.

However, the way you have listed the problem, the answer will be: 24*11 m = 264 m

(It can't be this simple...as you have stated speed and acceleration problem),

24 meters times 11 m/s = 264 meters

You can solve this by using the velocity equation, since this is a constant velocity question. That equation is: v = (displacement) / (change in time). In this case, you need to solve for displacement, which (after applying some algebra) is: displacement = v * (change in time).

Putting in your numbers gives: displacement = (11 m/s) * (24 s) = 264 m

So the answer is 264 meters. I included the equation in case your teacher needs to see it and that you understand the concepts. Good luck.

Multiply the meters/second by the number of seconds run. In this case, 11x24. You should come up with 264 meters run by the sprinter.

You answer is 264. You can get this answer by multiplying the speed by the time. So s*t=d. 11m/s*24s=264m. The seconds cancel out.

This question is not about speed and acceleration. It's about speed (and time, and distance).
