Since cholrine and gas form an ionic solid, i would probably dissolve the salt in water and then perform electrolysis on the solution.

Now depending on the bond formed between the Na and O and th Cl and the H2. You might be able to separate the the elements with a current passing through the resultant gasses..

electrolysis Or react with chemical which is more reactive than sodium!
