What are we going to do, incarcerate fat people at the fat farm? 90% of the population would be there when you consider that medically 20 pounds overweight is obese.

A law against obesity would definitely be construed as discrimination on the basis of a person's physical appearance, and would be illegal.
What we really need are programs to help control or stop obesity and get people to exercise more and eat the right things.

Your question is too broad. (no pun intended). Where do you draw the line at an obese person or an otherwise healthy person? What would the law be? What would the punishment be for obese people?
Heres a question... Should we have a law against stupid people? (Not calling you stupid). Should we not let stupid people procreate or drive cars?

Um. No. Many people who are obese are obese due to genetic health issues or gland abnormalities. Also, obesity tends to be based on the doctor more than the patient--some doctors think you're obese when you're 20 lbs overweight, and would gladly "turn you in" for it.

With all the fast food in the world, the politicians would lose too many campaign dollars outlawing obesity....... Sorry you are C R A P out of luck there.

Absolutely not. There are already too many freaking laws in this "free country." How a person chooses to live their life is not the government's business.
My kids are being denied certain snacks at school that the teachers don't approve of and I am SO angry.
People need to leave well enough alone.
I am so sick of nosy a#@ people who think they know how to run everyone else's life!

Then there should be regulations hostile to vast noses and undesirable tooth. there is too many fat human beings. EDIT: Wait, so in the adventure that they tax weight problems, do i receives a fee funds for being underweight? Now that looks reliable to me, because i really ought to apply the money. I knew having a short metabolism had many purposes.

obeisity is when someone is 100 pounds or more overweight, not 20.
and sorry, obeisity is a disease that, although serious, is stuffing the pockets of corporate America.
it would NEVER become illegal.
laws against ignorance, stupidity, and foreign language driver's liscense applications, however, are long overdue.

No. We should have a law against assholes like you who make fun of people for a very serious, although admittedly self-induced, problem.
