To think that we are the only living things in the vast realm of space is pretty damn closed minded. Even if you believe in religion, the afterlife must take up space somewhere. We haven't even put a dent in the knowledge that extends beyond our limited reach. Our idea of life comes from our own existence and from our imagination. The reality of life may be completely uncomprehensible to us. Most of us believe in a God we cannot see, I don't see any reasons why not to believe other lifeforms exist also.

There has to be. This universe is endless...how can we be so arrogant to think that we are the only planet in the universe that has life. Be for real. And who is to say conditions must be just like earth for life to exist??? Maybe there is life on another planet that is breathing carbon monoxide!?!? We just don't know. But to say we are it is absolutely insane.

I doubt it. There needs to be absolutely perfect conditions for life on Earth planets - climate, precipitation, heat, etc. We're lucky to be alive. Very, very lucky.

If not, "...it's an awful waste of space".

I believe that there is plenty of other life out there. I just hope we keep it together long enough to find out.

I believe this universe that we live in is way to vast for us to be the only critters living here.
