Its a good question.....yes I have taken a photo of myself, when I was 8 months pregnant.....I don't know why either but I did, I don't think there is anything wrong in that. I don't know why everyone thinks everything we think, say and or do is sexually related, I don't think that when you ask your question.

Direct answer is "no it is not weird to take a nude photo of yourself"

Those who disagree probably are ashamed of their bodies.

If you are comfortable showing your body to other people and your are not being a social deviant about it (like being a flasher), then what is the problem? If you go to public places where people are nude (like the YMCA locker room, your highschool gym) or even if its just your friends house, and they aren't freaked out about seeing you naked, then showing off a picture of yourself would probably be accepted with minimal explanation.

You might have to explain WHY you took the picture, so rehearse a good answer. Like, "I just wanted to show off my cute butt. If you don't want it, I will take it back".

But, odds are that you are a 20-something, physically fit good looker and showing off yourself in a photo is probably a pleasant experience for your friends to experience, friends who probably have already seen you naked and do not consider you a threat to society. Especially if they have seen you naked when they were naked too.

And, taking pictures of yourself, no matter what age you are, is a good thing to do especially if you take a few pictures of your whole body every year, including frontal shots. This is a great way to chart your aging process. All your pictures from age 13 to 30 will all be about the same, indicating your growth from puberty through majority and then after 30 they will show your progress through mid-life. The photographic evidence will be a plus for your family doctor, or the police if they have to identify your body.

Keep in mind the rule of child porn, if a photo of a nude child shows the child in a sexual situation, it is porn. A nude photo of any child - even a 17 year old - with an erection is not porn so long as there is no sexual intention or context and the child's erection is not being touch by the child or anybody else in the photograph.

My parents took hundreds of pictures of me and my brothers when we were naked from the time we were babies all the way through our graduations of high school. Most of the pictures were your normal skinnydipping in the backyard pool and shower shots and some of them showed that we had various stages of erections. But we also deliberatly posed, individually and all together, so mom and dad would have pictures of all us boys together and you can see our age differences because of how tall we were and how developed all our bodies were at the time of the picture. We have a normal family and mom and dad were not making porn. They used one of our group nudes as the Christmas card picture. We all held Santa hats in front of ourselves. The only person who ever complained was the jerk at the 1-hour. Dad bought a digital camera and that ended that problem.

And don't let your friends talk you into putting yourself on X-Tube.com unless you really want the world to see your butt in all it's glory because your email gets flooded with all kinds of pervy crap! Don't go looking for me, I already took it off. Just be careful what you do with your pictures and who sees them and you should be ok with them.

And if you didn't figure it out yet, my family never considered nudity a thing of shame or embarrassment. And we are not nudists either.

There's no problem with it, particularly if you ascribe to the nudist philosophy. You may need to think about how others will react before you show them... not because you're ashamed, but because it might make them uncomfortable. You shouldn't force your nudity on anyone, but in the proper context it can be wholesome and natural.

I don't think any thing is weird about it. I took same pic of myself and used it as motivation to stick to my diet. Just don't be a perv and post it anywhere that it can be seen by anyone else but you... ever. You may regret it someday.

To each his own, it's not weird. If you've got friends that close to you, then more power to you. But why do you care what people in here think?

Well, it's not so weird that you're taking a nude photo of yourself. It is weird that you want to show it to a friend of yours, IMHO. Good night!

People do it all the time...especially online to post in the profiles...they seem to think they have nothing else going for them I guess, so try to get attention with nudity instead of personality or intellect.

*shrugs* To each their own...
