it happens on both sides, but it annoys me when someone believes a point, just because ONE PERSON said it... even if 20 other people are saying the opposite...

now that doesn't mean that one person is lying, but I think it's a bit silly to not have a little doubt about what he's saying...

it seems like the public has lost it's objectivity sometimes... they forget that because someone is saying something that you agree with, it doesn't make it true...

in my experience... if one person says something... it's probably only part of the truth...

I have to agree with you here...and you are right-it goes both ways. It is unbelievable how many people hear something, and run with it....and will think it's true until the day they die...regardless of any presented fact that says the opposite, in fact, is true.
I look at it this way: for example, the news. I'll watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC, local channels, etc...hear different spins on different stories, and I just figure the truth is somewhere in the middle. I don't count anything as true until I've heard it from multiple sources...call me cynical. :)

I hate to agree with you, but yes, it does. It annoys me, too, that people go to places like YouTube and use that as the last word in truth. I mean, that's like using an Infomercial as proof that the product really must work!
