There is a gameshow a contestant is chosen there are 3 curtains 1 has a car behind it and the other 2 have boo boo prizes behind the curtain. The contestant chooses a curtain the gameshow host leaves the curtain he chose closed and opens up one of the boo boo prize curtains? Should the contestant stay with the door he chose or switch and why? and what are the chances of him winning the car?

He should switch doors. when he first picked the door there was a 33% chance of winnig, however once one choice is eliminated his second chance it is 50% that he will win

so by picking the new door he increases his chances by 17 %

Makes no difference at this point if he switches. The chances are 50/50, meaning he has a 1 in 2 chance of getting the boo-boo or 1 in 2 chance of getting the car.

Thats all up to the contestant because the chance of winning or losing is 50/50.

i would stay. they have a 50/50 shot at the car. it makes no difference if they switch the odds are the same
