my comp keeps shutting down unexpectedly?

Question

My friend downloaded xoftspy & the first day that worked then my computer went back to way it was. My other friend went to msconfig on run and went to start up disabled all then restarted the comp & he said that should stop my comp from shutting down but that didnt work either. Do I have a virus? Someone please help me!!

Perhaps you can start the computer in safe mode. (hit f8 on startup to get boot menu) uninstall xoftspy and reboot. See if your computer works properly. If not use system restore to take your computer back to a time before your "friend" did anything to your computer. Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools
