Jealousy is as natural as pride among humans. That motivates a failed person to try hard and struggle for the result, he failed to achieve and for which he envied others. Imagine that there is no such feeling like jealousy. Man accepts his situation without demur. All become saintly. Although every one becoming saintly is an ideal situation, God did not intend all to become saintly. If that be so, there will be no motivation for production, procreation and all the drama surrounding human feelings and activities.

A human being has six base qualities ingrained in him. they are
Kama= Lust, Krodha = Anger, Lobha = covetousness, moha = infatuation, mada = pride, Matsarya = jelousy.
Which ever quality developes predominantly that is seen out side
the others remain under control.

Why? I think its part of our nature to sometimes want what other people have. We start to get it into our own heads that what we have isnt good enough. We wish for more, crave for more. People always want the bigger the better to more glittering objects that others have or dont have yet.

I think media contributes to this. Not the only factor but I think it doesnt help.

In order to change this individuals have to realize for themselves that they have to be happy with who they are and what they have and stop COMPARING themselves to other people. Not everyone can be paris hilton.

Humans are capable of jealousy. Envy is our nature, but it's more than that. Jealousy isnt the terretorial desire. It's the will to hurt someone because they have what you "need" to become fulfilled.

b'coz he cannot control his demands for materialistic life and when he fails, then obviously, jealous of them who have all this stuff.

anyway, this is a simple reason but it's also chemical deficits of our body . and finally,
we have to follow spiritual laws as ' we should not jealous of anybody. '

May God bless us being a good human,
